Valentina (Val) Roman recently joined the Wake Kendall Group with several years of experience in delivering comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Prolonged Exposure therapy for PTSD (DBT-PE) in the Washington, D.C. area. Val specializes in treating adults who have complex mental health conditions and may not know where to start. She is especially passionate about helping clients who have symptoms of both Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Knowing that therapy is an incredibly vulnerable process, Val balances helping clients meet their goals with warmth, collaboration, and humility. Embracing the principles she shares with clients, Val will often incorporate DBT skills and random acts of exposure into her own life. Val received her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and her B.S. in Music Education from Towson University.
Ms. Roman is licensed to practice in DC, MD, and VA.
