Saskia Jorgensen is a doctoral psychology extern in our comprehensive DBT program. She is a Clinical Psychology Ph.D. candidate at George Washington University. Prior to joining WKG, Ms. Jorgensen worked at Children’s National Hospital in the Department of Neuropsychology where she provided neuropsychological assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, and family consultations with neurodivergent LGBTQ+ adolescents and young adults. Ms. Jorgensen has also worked with a range of clients through The Meltzer Center at George Washington University where she has provided Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to adults and adolescents experiencing depression, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and PTSD. In both her clinical work and research, Ms. Jorgensen has a primary focus on supporting individuals experiencing self-injurious thoughts and behaviors. Her approach to mental healthcare considers factors both within and beyond the individual, with close attention to how individual characteristics, interpersonal relationships, community factors, and systemic influences interact to shape wellbeing.
Ms. Jorgensen is currently practicing under the supervision of Dr. Rankin in DC.
