Dr. Courtney Conn has over a decade of experience doing therapy and neuropsychological assessments at the Wake Kendall Group. She has a strong background in child and adolescent assessment and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and believes in incorporating empirically supported treatment into all of her work. She teaches clients skills and self-regulating strategies while also flexibly attending to what is in the room and leaning on interpersonal and psychodynamic theory to inform her work. Dr. Conn has expertise in child and adolescent therapy, parent training, neuropsychological assessment, and behavior management. She enjoys supporting clients presenting with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and executive functioning difficulties. Dr. Conn also works with families in transition and student athletes. Dr. Conn received a Ph.D. From George Mason University and a B.A. from Yale University. She completed a predoctoral internship in inpatient and outpatient child psychiatry and assessment at Miami Children’s Hospital, as well as a postdoctoral fellowship in child and family therapy at the Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Dr. Conn is licensed to practice in DC and VA and is also authorized to provide telepsychology services in PSYPACT-participating jurisdictions.
