Dr. Katherine (Kathy) Nitz has over 20 years of experience specializing in comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessment as well as admissions testing for independent schools. She works with clients as young as three years old through young adulthood and customizes evaluations to meet her client’s needs. With each evaluation, Dr. Nitz strives to explain the underlying factors interfering with success, highlights her clients’ strengths, and assists children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and teachers with specific recommendations, resources, and next steps. She has expertise in learning disorders, ADHD, executive functioning, as well as behavioral, emotional, and social functioning. Prior to joining The Wake Kendall Group in 1999, Dr. Nitz worked in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine specializing in psychological assessment and treatment of children and adolescents and at Children’s Hospital – San Diego in the Department of Trauma. Dr. Nitz received a Ph.D. from George Washington University, M.S. from The Pennsylvania State University, and B.A. from Kent State University
